Kesha, renowned for her pop anthem ‘TiK ToK,’ recently showcased her confidence in body positivity with new photos on her Instagram.
The artist celebrated the 15th anniversary of her hit song on August 7.
To commemorate this milestone, Kesha shared the original cover artwork of ‘TiK ToK’ on Instagram, reflecting on the impact the song has had since its release.
In her heartfelt post, the 37-year-old expressed her feelings: “TiK ToK was the first single that I put into this world that had my voice AND my name credited!!!! I remember making it fun and happy because that’s how I felt and wanted others to feel. What I’m so proud of is that’s how this song STILL makes me feel, through it all, and those are emotions I want all of us to connect to.”
“15 (!!!!!!) years later, I see this song as a snapshot into the way I saw the world at the time. That girl was naive and wild and playful.”
She also mentioned a significant lyric change in the song, noting the removal of P Diddy’s name as a permanent update.
Continuing her celebration of personal freedom and expression, Kesha has also been embracing her body, sharing nude photos on her Instagram page in recent days.
In one of the photos, Kesha beams a joyful smile while cozily wrapped in bed sheets.
In another, the ‘Die Young’ singer is seated at a table, casually eating a salad with her knees pulled up to her chest, strategically covering herself.
She playfully captioned the images: “But…. I’m bored of wearing clothes.”
Her 3.4 million Instagram followers were quick to react, sending waves of excitement and compliments her way.
“Freedom looks good on you,” commented one fan, referencing Kesha’s recent legal victory over Dr. Luke.
“Wow absolutely stunning,” another follower exclaimed, while yet another asked, “How are you so so flawless??”
Many fans affectionately called her ‘mother,’ a nod to the vest she wore emblazoned with ‘I AM MOTHER’ during a surprise performance with Reneé Rapp at Coachella earlier this year.
It was at this performance that Kesha made a bold change to the opening line of her hit song ‘TiK ToK,’ declaring, “Wake up in the morning like f**k P Diddy.”
This alteration came amidst various serious allegations against the rapper involving sex trafficking, sexual abuse, racketeering, and rape, which he has strongly denied.
