Jennifer Lopez dazzled at the premiere of her and estranged husband Ben Affleck’s movie, “Unstoppable,” wearing a gown that left little to the imagination.

The event was part of the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival held at Roy Thomson Hall on Friday night.

The 55-year-old superstar made a bold statement as she arrived in a silver, disco ball-inspired dress designed by Tamara Ralph, which was completely open down the sides and held together by just three black bows. She chose to go without underwear, showcasing her toned physique.

Complementing her stunning outfit, Lopez wore open-toed high heels and adorned herself with pieces from Hassanzadeh jewelry. Her waist-length, light brown hair was styled in loose waves that flowed elegantly down her back.

Produced by her estranged spouse, “Unstoppable” features Lopez acting alongside stars like Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.

Lopez, a mother of two and no stranger to making bold fashion statements on the red carpet, was undoubtedly the center of attention.

She confidently displayed her well-known curves and signature figure, especially from the side.

This striking appearance came shortly after she filed for divorce from Affleck on what would have been their two-year wedding anniversary.

Despite the personal challenges of her fourth marriage coming to an end, a source close to Lopez shared that she was eager to attend the film festival.

“Unstoppable means a lot to her; she’s committed to supporting the film,” the source explained.

“It is a true life story that is very inspirational and she is proud to be a part of it. Acting in the movie was a high point for her,” the insider went on.

“The movie has been getting a lot of attention and Jennifer wants it to do the best it can. She is very professional and always works hard to give her movies their best opportunities.”

Jennifer Lopez’s performance paid off as she received a standing ovation for her role in the film, where she portrayed Judy Robles, the mother of wrestling champion Anthony Robles.

Robles, who inspired the movie, also served as a producer and performed as a stunt double for Jharrel Jerome, the actor who played him.

His praise for Lopez highlighted the success of her portrayal and the impact of her dedication to the role.

During the Toronto International Film Festival premiere, Anthony Robles shared with PEOPLE the challenges he faced in recounting the painful experiences of his life for the film adaptation.

Despite the difficulty, he emphasized that Jennifer Lopez and the entire cast delivered outstanding performances, capturing the essence of his story.

“I’d say the most difficult part was just telling the uncomfortable things,’ he said. ‘But I felt like in order to tell my story correctly, and truly impact the most people, they had to know my pain. They had to know the scars that I went through and what I dealt with.”

He continued: “I think that was tough for me, but it was also therapeutic.”

Robles shared that there were ‘a couple of things here and there that weren’t able to fit in the film,’ but he felt satisfied with the ‘overall message.’

Deeply moved by the film’s depiction of his life, he gave Lopez and the team a standing ovation as the credits rolled. He expressed his approval enthusiastically: “We nailed it and this team nailed it.”

He also imparted an inspiring message, underscoring the theme of resilience: “No matter what you’re wrestling, you can overcome it. You can be unstoppable.”

The biopic, directed by Ben Affleck—who unexpectedly missed the premiere—and produced alongside his longtime friend Matt Damon, celebrates Robles’s inspiring life story.

Some producers of the film were keen on having Jennifer Lopez and her ex, Ben Affleck, together at the Toronto premiere to stir publicity, according to a report from DailyMail.com earlier this week.

Although Affleck was absent, Lopez planned her appearance at the premiere to be brief, as she had other commitments to manage.

A source explained that “she has other matters to attend to,” indicating that her stay would be short.

The film, part of Ben Affleck’s production company Artists Equity, which he founded with Matt Damon, was featured in the Special Presentations section at the Toronto International Film Festival.

It is slated for a limited theatrical release in December 2024 by Amazon MGM Studios.

Affleck and Damon, both 53, are among the 14 producers involved in the project, which concluded production in January of this year.

The biopic’s release comes at a poignant time, shortly after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, following their separation in April.

The former couple has previously co-starred in films like “Gigli” (2003) and “Jersey Girl” (2004), and Affleck also appeared in Lopez’s projects “This Is Me… Now” and her documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”

“Unstoppable” tells the inspiring story of Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with one leg who defied odds to win a national championship in 2011 at Arizona State University.

The film stars Jharrel Jerome (known for “Moonlight”) as Robles, with Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle, and Michael Peña rounding out the supporting cast.

Directed by William Goldenberg, who has previously collaborated with Ben Affleck as an editor on the 2023 film “Air” and the Academy Award-winning “Argo” in 2012, “Unstoppable” highlights a powerful narrative of perseverance and victory against the odds.

In addition to “Unstoppable,” Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have collaborated on another project, “Kiss Of The Spiderwoman.”

This film is an adaptation of Manuel Puig’s novel set in an Argentinian prison in 1981. Lopez takes on the complex role of Aurora, a fantastical figure conjured by Luis Molina (played by Tonatiuh), a gay hairdresser serving time for allegedly corrupting a minor.

In a March 2023 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Ben Affleck shared his thoughts on working with Jennifer Lopez on their film.

“What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend,” he said.

“If you don’t like who you’re working with, and if you have difficulty or trouble at work, I think it’s one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety and pain for people,” he then added.

“And conversely, [if] you love the people at work, you probably have a pretty good life, you know?”

During the interview, Ben Affleck shared his appreciation for working with Jennifer Lopez, saying “Can’t make it look like she’s doing it as a favor to me, but actually she is.”

The now-estranged couple, who married in Las Vegas in July 2022, have remained open to working together again.

When asked by Variety earlier this year if they would consider another joint project, Lopez responded, “Maybe, in the right thing,” and added, “I mean, we love working together and being together, so maybe.”
